From the Ledge to the Lakeshore

Lakeshore Natural Resource Partnership (LNRP) is our region’s leading voice and advocate for the communities of northeast and east central Wisconsin and the waters which drain into Lake Michigan. Successful programs, projects, and strong partnerships make LNRP a respected thought leader from the Niagara Escarpment to the lakeshore.

For a Better Tomorrow

LNRP was launched in 2003 by a small group of friends who believed the Lakeshore Basin's best hope lay in people reaching across fences to "foster partnerships, cultivate projects, promote discussion and ... advocate for a balance between land use and natural resource conservation and protection."

Two decades later, we're still reaching out: still getting our hands dirty and our feet wet, and still finding creative solutions to improve and protect the Basin.

OUR PURPOSE

Our goal is to leave the Lakeshore better than we found it for the benefit of future generations. We have a proven track record of using a collaborative approach to turn tough problems into success stories that have a positive social, economic, and environmental impact on our communities.

OUR IMPACT

Cultivating, connecting and creating community and community leaders is our specialty; and, after 20 years, we’re good at it! We use networking and education to bring disparate groups to the table to address their most challenging environmental problems. We provide community stakeholders with the strategic, administrative, programming and funding support they need to solve problems and help their neighborhoods flourish.

OUR NETWORK

The natural wealth and abundance of the basin’s different ecosystems is an important foundation for the region’s socio-economic development and overall well-being. Under LNRP’s umbrella, local watershed partners and regional networks are given the tools they need to be more effective as they work to improve the health of the land and waters in their communities.
